Impact Design Challenge

We strongly believe in the power of design to empower and engage community members, therefore, a percentage of our profits go to the Impact Design Challenge, a program designed for students from emerging economies to teach them how to create solutions to the most pressing problems in their communities.

The Impact Design Challenge has two components. The first component consists of providing social innovation workshops to students with the goal of giving them tools to ignite positive change in their communities. The second component is a design challenge where we select an individual or a team to support a social innovation project and give them design guidance throughout the prototyping and implementation phases.

WORKSHOPS

So far, more than 500 people have participated in the social innovation workshops. The goal is to to empower community members to become agents of change.

IMPACT DESIGN CHALLENGE PROJECTS

We are currently supporting two social innovation projects: a modular vertical garden designed to increase nutritional access and green space in slums communities, and an emergency kit inspired in the aftermath of the 2017 Mexico’s earthquakes with the objective to empower people to better respond to natural disasters.
